How the Half Blocks style works
Half Blocks samples two pixels per cell, one above the other, and draws the top in one colour and the bottom in another — the ▀ and ▄ technique terminals use to show images at double vertical resolution.
Best for
Terminal graphics, CLI splash screens and colourful text art.
Tips
- Small cells keep detail.
- Keep colours saturated.
- Invert inverts the colours for a negative.
Export
PNG, JPEG, WebP and SVG, plus plain text you can copy and paste. Animated looks export as GIF, MP4 or WebM.
